The BC School Trustees' Association may be a hard-working group but the Cowichan Valley School District board of education doesn't want to be a member any more.
Fees to the provincial association cost the district about $37,000 a year, district secretary-treasurer Bob Harper told the board at its June 20 meeting.
Trustee Duncan Brown, who put forward a motion to cut the affiliation, said the idea had been suggested before but it was discovered the board had just missed a deadline so he was bringing the subject back.
